Anyone believe a soul chooses their parents as well as their adoptive parents?
I am reading a book of case studies of near death experiences. A few studies suggest that a soul chooses their parents. In my case, I honestly believe my adoptive daughter chose me as her adoptive parent via a parent who couldn’t cope with children. The circumstances that led to our adoption is so amazing I can’t help but believe this. Also, I recently found a tape recording of a psychic reading that was 26 years old. I was shocked that the psychic told me I was to adopt and described my daughter to perfection. Back then, I didn’t give it much thought and forgot about it. Can anyone offer their perspective.

I think it’s a nice thought but not really true. How about all those poor children with abusive parents or those who don’t even have a place to live or food to eat? I’m sure if they could have picked their parents they would pick someone who could provide for them or at least show loving and caring towards them.
